If my shoulder isn’t soft enough,
Let’s place a pillow there.
So I can hold you in my arms,
And gently stroke your hair.
When weak and saddened, and feeling spent,
So much so that you have to vent,
Then bounce off me your every care.
For whatever you need, I will be there.
I have a zillion things to say,
But I’ll shut my mouth to listen today.
You’ll have my attention, as you always do.
That’s one way to show my love for you.
Now in this life that I have lived,
My most favorite thing to do,
Was our holding, and loving, and kissing,
And being there for You!

You do write such wonderful poems. As if a picture can be drawn as I read them.
