Raining outside
she stands at the window
wrapped up in her sheets
smiling, feeling complete.
She ignores her reflection
as her fingers follow the raindrops
cascading down the glass,
her past creeps in
vivid memories sink in.
Now, looking straight at herself
her eyes submerge with tears
as she recalls
looking in the mirror
and seeing a lost, ugly girl.
Her angels arms find their way
around her shaking body
holding her tight from behind
his lips caress her neck
she sighs and closes her eyes.
with silence and a pause
enough time to collect thoughts
.......
she opens her eyes,
again, she looks at her reflection
and wiping away tears
(she smiles)
for the form of
true beauty in her eyes
is only present
in the heart of united lovers.
