You’re writing these letters,
There’s not a word that I comprehend.
I only feel the pain in between the lines.
So I read it over and over again.
Hoping that I can somehow stop you from hurting.
Holding out a hand for you to grab.
Knowing that you only trust in the sure things,
I promise I’ll catch you when you fall.
It’s just another day.
One more chance for me to prove that I’m not like them.
Just one more thing I can never seem to say.
The worst is over for you.
Would it be so bad,
If we were to pretend that we we’re so happy?
Would it be so bad?
Selfishly consumed with what we feel.
Are you happy?
They can’t decide.
We are what we want to be.
The hurt is all there is left to hold on to.
But for once we can let go.
Can’t you see,
What I want you to know?
Where do you run to?
You can’t cross bridges that you’ve burned.
So what is left?
What is left to learn?
I will listen.
When there is a room full of staring eyes,
Just remember me.
I can see through your disguise.
And you are beautiful on the inside.

| this is such a touching poem - i love the line 'you can't cross bridges that you've burned'. your positivity is not forced like some peoples and i like the honesty in this. you are a great person to be able to reach out to someone who was falling. great write, Kate x |

Very very beautiful! I love it! My two poems for my suicide friends are Hurry and A best friends plea. Very very touching!
