The Alpha

Contributed by Red Silo on Thursday, 5th June 2003 @ 09:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I think I've seen
What was never done for me
What is there to do
Maybe it's a destiny we can't elude

I think my mind is asleep
Because, I can no longer move inside this body...
Closing in around me, ushered by the rain
A tidal wave, in a sea of weakness, you are the same

It's not fair
I really care
And you love's skin deep
Did you see what's inside of me

There are answers on both sides of the line
Did your heart ache
Or was it just mine
You used to stare at the light of my existence
Now you can't even picture me
It makes no sense

Is this what you want
I want to know
Is it real
Is it true
How'd you lose that love in you

Will I ever find a hand
Holding love and peace
To save this drowning man

This seems like a dream
As it tears at the seam
But suppose that it's real
And suppose it won't heal
Should we burn all our bridges
Because we're afraid to feel

We weren't looking to leave
We just edged right off
Speaking with words that were never so soft
No one could tell
No one could hear
And never did they know a new beginning was near
