i see you, dear human, walking to the other room,
i must follow, could involve the refridgerator,
i know you'll pet me and give me a treat soon,
so much i love being with you, woof, you i adore,
even though you do not have a lovely coat of fur,
i don't care what you wear, to me your always cool,
woof, i speak, and you hear, unlike those silly cats who purr,
and woof, you are so okay, and well adjusted to my drool,
i love life with you and how my food bucket is always full,
and how you kiss me on the nose,
but that computer thing you stare at really must go,
and i'm not too sure about those baths with the hose,
when you paint my nails i tolerate the awful smell,
and then you make a happy fuss and i get a snack,
i so loved that long walk we took to the well,
you didn't mind too much when i sat stubbornly on the way back,
it is so wonderful and peaceful to lay snoring on your feet,
and sitting on my hill looking at birds and smelling breezes,
i like other humans you bring so i can share slobbers when we meet,
when the weather is cold you give me warmth away from freezes,
i love when you take me in the doghouse with wheels,
but the most fun in the world is going to the dinner store,
and you never get mad, but tell me your proud of me,
when i growl at the gaspump guy who takes my biscut money,
woof, where are you going now? hey wait for me!

Oh I love this!! This is so cute Nessa. It brought tears to my eyes. I so miss my dogs!! My cat as we speak is looking out the sliding glass door at the birds at the feeder thinking mmmmmm its dinner time!! LOL

It bought back memories of childhood when i used to grab my dog by the snout and lick his nose (sounds kinda perverted now i've written it down) i wonder if he thought i was weird? could be worth a write! anyway back to your poem i love seeing things from a different perspective and this was written exceptionally well.
