I ain’t that "normal girl"
that lives in this "normal world",
I've seen what I've seen,
and lived through this war as a teen,
it takes a lot to walk down these streets,
because people don’t look at the REAL me,
they judge me by my cover,
and not what hides under,
this war turned us upside down,
no longer any smiles just frowns,
I'll tell you I ain’t no American Idol,
But I don’t carry a rifle,
I ain’t a terrorist & a freak,
I'm just a normal teen,
I see the news every day,
and I see my people die this way,
I don't get what this war is for,
It's like a solicitor knocking at your front door,
you see this really isn't fair,
watching bodies fly into the air,
I was born in America too,
but sometimes saying I am American is a disgrace,
and yes I have a white girls face,
I will not judge my heritage,
but think of life this way,
your gonna die anyway,
make the best out of this life,
instead of judging by first site,
get to know that person more,
maybe you'll see how there heart is torn,
by the looks they get,
and their feelings that are hurt,
I ain’t gonna judge,
because that’s left to the one above,
but don't judge me,
because im not a freak,
I don’t hide in my jacket a pistol,
but my heart is what is riskful,
I don't go bombing your house,
when I see you I am as quite as a mouse,
why would you hold a camera to my face,
put a big sign saying "disgrace",
because my religion,
and now I try not to sin,
but please judge what I have with in,
and not by my outside cover,
because the best part is what’s under!!!!
