WHERE ARE THE WMDs GEORGIE BOY?

Contributed by Steeleyes on Tuesday, 3rd June 2003 @ 11:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Bush says they have two mobile chemical labs
Oh yeah where did you get your chemistry degree schmuck?
You can hardly count the fingers on your own two hands
If you know two and two it’s down to luck

Hand them over to the experts Rocket Boy
Then maybe you will find
There’s not a trace of chemicals on these things
The Bushbaby is sadly blind

Blindness got him early on
When the CIA garbage was announced
We “know” Iraq has WMDs
And then the trash was trounced

The inspectors laughed at the CIA claims
That led them on a wild goose chase
But Bush and Blair the two blind babes
Saw a fearsome arms race

There is no time, we must start the slaughter
Said Bush and Blair as one
Blix asked for one more month
But, no WMDs! No fun!!!

The hell with sense or with the truth
We want this ***** war
We don’t give a ***** what you say
That’s what our power is for

Now they stand blind monkeys both
They have closed down their ears
They did it because they wanted to
And used you and your fears

Your three thousand dead were a mere excuse
To kill three thousand more
These two butchers now blindly gaze
Dead rotten to the core

Good question. Are they really banned weapons or were they planted there in the first place?

Thanks. The thing is they havn't found ANY. Currently they are searching for ANY sign that Iraq had WMDs at the time of the inspection. Remember the inspectors said they only needed a couple of months to complete their work.

No one is saying that Saddam was an innocent, but it very much appears to be the case that he HAD disposed of all his WMDs before the war and probably LONG before the war at that. He didn't have the records to PROVE it to the inspectors. Okay, the Iraqi regime had a reputation for keeping good records BUT ONLY WHEN THEY SERVED A USEFUL PURPOSE TO THEM. Saying "Prove you don't have WMDs!" was a perfect ploy. I suspect USuk knew Iraq no longer had a viable WMD arsenal but they needed to present this fabrication because it was the ONLYy truly valid reason to go to war that stood a chance of getting international sanction under international law. Blair believed the UN could be hoodwinked into accepting this smokescreen but he was very wrong. France, Germany and the others saw through it right away and risked the very real dangers of opposing the U.S. to state it bluntly. There were other smokescreens since shown to be either forgeries or unsustainable - no buying of fissionable material in Nigeria, no verifiable links to Al Qaeda, no links to terrorism in fact. So they CREATED the scenario they needed. WMDs. Then, when Blix said the inspectors said it should not be assumed that Iraq HAD WMDs only that there was no DOCUMENTATION that they had been destroyed and that they would need only a month or two to complete their work, well, that was it, WAR (and slaughter of thousands...)
