WHAT GOD MEANS TO ME

God is my closest, dearest friend,
He's by my side all day and night.
No matter where I go or what I do,
He's never out of my sight.

I see Him in everything that grows,
In the rapture of children at play.
I see Him caressing the leaves and flowers,
With the sun on a bright sunny day.

I see Him in twinkling stars in the sky,
And the bright yellow moon up above.
Even in darkness He's right by my side,
Protecting me and giving His love.

For all of His love, he's not asking for much,
Just maybe a prayer now and then.
A prayer for no more wars in this world,
Just peace and good will to all men.

That is a very nice poem, I am an Aethiest but the simple beauty of it is kinda moving
