Tennis, Anyone

Contributed by norm on Sunday, 1st June 2003 @ 01:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

If I could train a tennis ball
to jump upon a tennis wall,
return to me upon a call,
If I could train the ball.

I'd lend my service far and wide,
And place a ball so deep inside,
a case that's brief and in my stride
I'd teach with selfless pride.

Everyone could play the ball
like Ivan Lendl, man so tall
or maybe like my nephew, Saul,
If I could train the ball.

From what I know about the game,
Advantage 'In' would be the same,
Advantage 'Out" might take the blame,
If I could teach the game.

If I could train a tennis ball,
I'd give it to miss Arlene Dahl,
The movies then would profit all,
If I could train the ball.

Tennis wall, return on call.
Deep inside, in my stride.
Man so tall, nephew, Saul
Ad 'In' same, ad 'Out' blame.
Arlene Dahl, profit all.
If I could train the ball.
