In cold earth,
Beneath slow, sombre woods,
Worms,
Unconscious of the setting sun,
Blindly slither.
Seeking nothing, finding nothing
Save, the means to stoke
Their wan lives' embers..
Trapped in mazes by themselves devised.
Unwarmed by an unseen, unknown sun.

Love the imagery!
And as to your question, I have no idea, but now I'm interested in finding out! :-)

Worms improve the soil
help me with my toil
Blackbiids I must foil
cos they eat them
so we keep a cat
she knows what they're at
blackbirds won't get fat
cos she "greets" them |
