Lifepoems

Everything in this world.
And what I know.
If every life was sewn into a blanket,
How big would my thread be?
How tall am I against a mountain?
How strong am I against the roaring sea?
What is life? What does it mean?
But do I need to know the universe
To live in my backyard?
Is my life important, or
Is it important to me?
I am small against a mountain;
I am weak against the sea.
And somehow that just makes life
The joy it is to me.

Why is it the best poems are the ones that are least read? oh yeah, the short attention span. Anyways, the way rhyme was used sparringly was great, and the fact you managed to achieve rhythm without rhyme, means you are an actual poet. In a way you have enlighted me on my own life, thank you. The only criticism is that occasionaly heavy constonant sounds clashed with nearby vowel sounds. |
