MISSING YOU

The long lonely night is drawing near.
And, oh, my darling you're not here.
You'll never know how much I miss,
Your sweet and tender goodnight kiss.
From my window I can see,
Lovers happy as can be,
Strolling slowly hand in hand,
Gazing at the moon so grand.
The wonderful memories I have of you,
Are oh, so very, very few,
But they will have to do, my dear,
Until again I have you near.
Maybe fate will lend a hand,
And try to make you understand.
For every night I hope and pray,
That you'll come back to me some day.
I have a feeling in my heart,
We simply cannot stay apart.
Some day soon I pray that you,
Will find you really miss me too.

Hi Del-
Liked your poem. Sounds a little old fashioned because you use the word Dear (sweet). If you withdrew the last two groupings, it would make a great card to someone's man overseas.
