Great borders
Frame the earth
This lump of rock
Bathed in twinkling starlight
This huge magma outcrop
Bleached, banished, burned
Beyond the rattling silence
Layered and glistening
Fortified world

I always appreciate writing that can say so much in few words. It can be like a puzzle at times.

Bleached, banished, burned

I like that line.
