A Fast Ride:

Contributed by richard_campbell on Friday, 1st April 2016 @ 09:21:21 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

Eyes shut tight,
afraid of height.
sound can be heard
out of sight.
heart beating fast
out at last.
nothing can be heard
but a strong wind blast.
stop! stop! stop!
some one screams
are you ok?
what//'//s your name?
Is it over,you poor thing?
fainted on the ride
"oh you think."
no more ride for me
on this darn thing.
am walking from now on
on my feet again.

This write gave me a smile and a giggle. I too have a fear of heights and the last time I dared to ride a coaster was 20 some years ago. Your write described the experience to a tee. Very much enjoyed this write, P

I have to say I like rollercoasters, based on the couple/few/half-dozen/dozen/two-dozen times I/'/ve rode them(I start with few because it was only between 3-5 different ones at the same Six Flags), and I have to say one thing about them. Dear God, was the one wooden one I rode painful. Seriously. Left me with a sore back, and it was even worse for my mother, with a steel rod in her back thanks to a surgery for scoliosis when she was young; as well as bad for the back of one of my sister/'/s friends. Never again.

I agree with dv...xyz above me, I had a good smile in reading this, but I never heard of anyone fainting on a rollercoaster save for one video I saw years ago on tv, which I think was a home-video.

Thanks for sharing. :)
