Crystal Moon

Contributed by star-gazer on Friday, 30th May 2003 @ 08:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Under the moon's eye,
Walking in its path,
In the shadow of the night.
It glistens half crescent, far beyond the trees
And shines on every hill, mountain, and valley,
Its glow softly fills the night.
The stars blink in their cozy caverns,
A nestle like birds at dawn.
I settle in its crevices,
Curled up in the night blankets,
Snug amongst the stars.
Glistening like a snow globe,
Leaves tumbling down.
A globe of bright glistening silver dollars,
Moving in the light.
The black night glowing with fireflies.
Sparkling in the darkness.
The moon shining in the dark,
A peephole to glimpse through,
Like a notch in the ocean, A pinhole in the night.
I gaze intrigued,
Entangled in its richness,
Entranced by it wonders,
And enticed by its allure.
I feel warmly surrounded by its blankets,
The blankets of the night.

Star-Gazer you 'DONE GOOD'
--------------------------------------
The shadows of night, kinda give me a fright
Yours do not scare me at all,
Your moon hypes the way
Seems to make it like day
Fireflies give out some light...
