There/'/s 22 years of my past I/'/d like to erase
Every day I try as it grips me, stares me in the face
I did it first at 15
Every day it/'/s real, I wish it were a dream
Chip is right, the monster is out of the cage
As much as I try to turn the page
Temptation wins
And I/'/m back in the old tailspin
I do it once in a while, that/'/s normal isn/'/t it?
That/'/s what I say, after every ever lasting binge trip
A few times a week, that/'/s not so bad
The fact that I think this way, that/'/s what so sad
It/'/s time for me to stop bull/*****/ myself
I can/'/t beat this beast alone
I need some help
So lord, as I pray to you at the edge of my bed
Help me get these terrible thoughts out of my head
I know it/'/s not you that can cure me
But here/'/s a ticket, please come with me
