There is a purity
In the centre of the flame
That draws the moth, a tantalising game
Of curiosity and yet a serious depth of
Searching for the seat of comfort, a soul
That searches for a warming fire in which
Reality resonates, an irresistible pull
Towards the finite, the infinite and a
Comprehension, a sense of where
There is purity.
Relief as masks are dissolved in the
Flames and the face can only reflect
The truth. Watching as the flames
Dance higher in courts of judgement
Where sitting with my friend
Thanatos is not a choice.
He the true reflection of life.
Walking in his shadow is not
Troubled water but just a part
Of life/'/s reflection.

I had to look him up to understand. once I did I realized what a great bit of poetry this is.
