anguished

A little girl of nineteen
faded away into a dream
Could forget her pain and sorrow that day
could be with the happy, always
She forgot what she knew at a younger age
her life began anew like turning a page
As the dream went on she hungered for more,
hungered for the memories that went out the door
But, all is not what it seems
a nightmare began, and went away her dream
Life is not as simple as she thought
her memories brought the pain that she sought
The pain followed her from waking life
and tortured her with all her strife
The next day she wouldn/'/t wake
her whole life was at stake
Not all is what it seems
A nightmare took over her dream

A sad statement about depression, loss of hope and feelings of being all alone.
Well done
