Nighttime Melding

Together we lied, entwined, corporeally bound
Whispers of angels touching our soft pink lips
The stars glittered and twinkled, the love of unseen gods
As crickets chirped their song, one of many natural cantrips
Long ago, sailors used these stars to find their home
But now in this moment, in this present age of days,
We use them to guide our souls toward the brightest,
Most colorful of paths, most prosperous of ways

Short and sweet, great poem.
I like the last stanza. You added a bit of oceanic flair with that!

I`m surprised this doesn`t have more comments. It`s like a great forgotten poem. So visual, so gentle.
I really like that the stars have so much significance in history!
Thank you,
Tim |
