Emotional warfare is coming on strong
often makes you think
and
say things
that you know are wrong,
I thought that I was in control
and now my mind is blown,
it seems like the one I loved never really cared
and the torture of love
makes me sorry that I dared to shared.
Love had me feeling right
but it used me
it broke me
and now I am left wondering
what happened to my best friend?
the one told me
they would be here to the end?
My wounds they heal slowly
as the bombs of love keep exploding
confusion has me off balance
and the blood
of emotional torture keeps on flowing,
I think I have been fooled once again
and this time
I think I will never stop bleeding.

You tell a story so many share. Some more often than others! Your message is subtle but quite true!
It seems a never-ending circle, sure to end the same way again and again.
But the secret is not at the ending--it is at the beginning.
This is a reminder that if we keep doing what we are doing...we will keep getting what we get!
Your poem suggests that we would be wise to change what we seek, if we would change what we end up with. Such wisdom from one so young.

Sad and beautiful all in one.
A wonderful poem of how love often is.
