So tell me
The new beau that you left me for
Was he music to your
Dancing feet
Or did he send you running home
Crying and sobbing in defeat
Was he the leather to your lace
Or did he wipe that big fat grin
Right from your face
So tell me
Was he the hot shot shooting star
Traveling fast from afar
The one you were looking for
Or did he just appear
Burning up in your atmosphere
So tell me
Was he the one
Right from the start
Or did he crush your heart
Tear it all apart
Leave you sobbing in the park
So tell me
How does it feel
When your new love departs
Turning your brightness to dark
Can you tell me

Whenever you write one of these, I sorta feel like it was written for both of us because I can relate so much to it.
Mine starts looking for her next ex before she even gets rid of her current ex. She/'/s now on future ex husband number 5.
Thank you for an enjoyable read.
Sincerely,
Her hubby #3. |

Knowing that the opposite of love isn/'/t hate; it/'/s apathy--I suspect you are still enamored of this woman.
It takes time to stop caring and untangle. Be patient and keep writing! Your experience shared has far reaching value you many never know of.
Eventually, we see the world through sweeter eyes.
