Friends no Lovers please.

I want to make friends,
and that is all !
Friends do not hurt as much
as when for others we fall.
Friends offer friendly advice
as they care, friends are very nice.

Friends often try their best to help
when we are in need,
and they do it with
urgency and speed.
I know I like the occasional tease,
I love it when my ego they please.

I like to return the favor
complement them when they are
good and look nice
I enjoy their responses
I like to put them at ease.
We do this to each other please.

Friends can take a joke,
friends don/'/t always despair,
over things
that are not always fair.
Friends give and take
and are not fake.

When we do or say things they don/'/t
consider to be emotionally nice.
They do not turn us away
without a word to say
friends don/'/t turn to ice,
they express concern and stay.

Lovers are too emotionally strung
they expect us to be accepting,
nice and loyal to only the one !
Expectations are usually very high
and when not met they make us cry.
Pain can be bad, makes us want to die.

Lovers don/'/t always understand
as heart felt feelings can blind their reasoning.
Its like cooking meat without seasoning.
They want it raw, but with glitter
that can end up being thrown out
with the litter.

We have to be aware that the truth
at times we share, they want to hear
only little white lies that lead to despair.
Then the problems become hard to repair
as their feelings they do not verbally share
Then they face away, with nothing to say.

Friendship with them is lost,
and in silence they stay
keeping their feelings at bay
hurting both in the process
of the silly levers game,
it is such a shame.
