These Are The Things

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Saturday, 30th January 2016 @ 12:45:02 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Just like a blade of grass
Tickling at my feet
A strawberry seed
Caught between my teeth
The choking smell
Of wintergreen all over my sheets
Dirt that supersedes
What was once neat
A cold and cloudy sun
When I long for heat
Traveling so far
To see what/'/s next door
Short sighted me
As you walk from view
These are the things
That you do to me

I like all the things, and even found myself with a nice smile, but I think that one thing would maybe make use of something. I/'/ll message you and see if you agree.

You have told a tale of what longing can do to us.
Even make the sun cold!

My favorite line is --Traveling so far to see what/'/s next door!
We choose to love; we do not choose how it will change our lives! This is the writing of a romantic at heart. May you never be cured!

//Do I detect some sarcasm? Did anyone else notice that? It/'/s just me?

No, don/'/t think so. James Stockdale is pretty damn clever.

Sorry if I/'/m off base but being cold and the "choking smell of wintergreen"turn the pages and I say I like the twist.

Thanks,

Dugan
