That Critical Moment

Contributed by waynster on Wednesday, 6th January 2016 @ 03:57:01 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

That moment
when we realize things are so very wrong
We seem to be slipping through time
just living and listening to the song

The path we walk is tiresome
the pain we endure, we hide
We want to set ourselves free
but don’t want that roller coaster ride

Reality is sometimes so harsh
it just laughs in your face
You have no idea why you hang on so long
you just know you have been blind in this place

So many things that you love
but a sense of loneliness swallows your heart
You hate to be alone
and this situation just tears you apart

Your heart says one thing
but your mouth utters a happy song
You fight within yourself every day
this is what’s so very wrong

Being afraid
is somewhat the same as being weak
You want to free yourself
because your future at present looks so very bleak

Only you
the master of your very own destiny
It is only you
who can right your wrongs and set yourself free
