Time has had it’s way.
The days have all gone gray,
And the child by the sea
has washed away.

I really like this. It/'/s as if you could say that to me directly and I would be dumb struck, amazed by the insight.
Where/'/d the child go, I wish I could say, but wouldn/'/t know.
It/'/s not looking back in time so much as it is looking at what time has done to me, or the collective me.
It/'/s a very broadening prospective you paint in such a wonderful and short little poem.
It/'/s beautiful really!
Great write!
Peace! |

And one question re appears to me
I find-
Time, can you find it in yourself to be kind?
Beautifully, powerfully penned!
Thanks for sharing.

Strong impact, for such a gentle and concise write. Surprised to see it under /'/Inspirational poetry/'/ though.
couldn/'/t help think about loss, including how memories of tragedy seem to have a tide to them as well.
cheers,
S. |
