Vain Attempts

Contributed by Deidra_Carmichael on Wednesday, 23rd December 2015 @ 08:50:40 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

Off in the distance is your mind
An inkling of interest I shan/'/t find
For you/'/re preoccupied with joys of your own
While I regret seeds in your garden I/'/ve already sown

Walking away: what a fabulous notion
Since starting with you would likely cause a commotion
We luck out in this unrecognized deal
Since my adoration for you I cannot reveal

Shall I continue my attempts in vain
Oh heavens no! That would be insane
The heart may convince me but it is quick to deceive
So I shall guard it that I may not grieve

Jane Austin lives...
I think she does. It saddens me not.
But does make for this continually sourness
gut check, it/'/s intolerable from time to time.
For I must listen to the inside and be brave, not be
such a foolish fool that is easy enough to be. I do think, the garden is not in any way shape or form my own.

Great writing DC, your/'/s are good to read, even if I don/'/t know the detail behind what is meant!

Peace!

Diedra: This should be on the front of every woman/'/s diary! How fortunate that your heroine kept her adoration a secret until she could see the futility of any future to be had!
Wish we were all as cautious, and paid less heed to our hearts than our logic.
Love is not blind after all!
A salute to your wisdom; a bow to your resourcefulness; and a deep sigh to what might have been.
Do keep writing for us! We need to hear that not all love is without vision or parameters.
