guilt buried

Contributed by ming on Thursday, 17th December 2015 @ 12:11:39 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

never deep enough
a dark ghost self

hard to touch the stones
holding tight not wanting

like a dead branch snapping
off a tree in winter to dilute

it with this ink spinning adrift
in pirouettes denying voice

oppressed identity neglected
un-pretty love it hate it watch

inside for life is fleeting and art
is eating stars for breakfast

insomnia with my silent
night/mouth pen stained fingers.

Pen stained fingers...reminds me of my liquid ink pen! I must get back to that!
My favorite line here is "art is eating stars for breakfast".
If this is insomnia, you should never sleep! It's beautiful to imagine "this ink spinning adrift in pirouettes denying voice".
I write rhyme, but You, dear ming, are truly a poet!

wonderful insight.
This guilt is qualitative
You can cut it or dilute it off
You are better off meeting it dead on
before it buries you.

We do this diluting by comparison with one another
we think someone did far worse and they seem okay
Yet of course we are all guilty in many ways,
to er they say is human.
So we should try to learn from our mistakes and not bury them. Reminds me of Poe, whereby buried guilt comes back to haunt one when they are all alone in the
dead of a cold and dark wintry night.

Great job ming!

Peace!
