Practice What You Prey
-------------------------------
practice preacher
undigs your dust
unburns your ash
uneats your rust
a backtalk rascal
two for flinchin'
plain and simple
grave intention
so keep in touch
but out of reach
his undertow
it reeks of bleach
slow motion
in the third degree...
quickly animate
his backwards curse
makes you look worse...
delude and deviate
practice preacher
pauses to pray
each muscle memorized...
knows not just one of Many
but All of the ways
mind over matter means Mine.
a standard issue
mystery...
plagued by scattered fate
stares right through
the brightest white...
then wears the moonlight grey.

Oh my! So many wonderful lines to re-read!
"so keep in touch but out of reach"
"His backward curse makes you look worse"
A great story deserves a bold finish and you have given that to us with the last 6 lines!
A pure pleasure to read, like sitting in a rocking chair while you float us down the rapids!
Bravo!
