Dear Santa

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Dear Santa,

I know you are busy man
but could you help me,if you can?
Instead of stopping by this place
could you make a run to Heaven
at Rudolphs pace?

Id like you to find my husband
and tell him a few things for me
because he left me behind on earth
with unfinished business between him and me.

Of course I'm sure you know the story
you are magical like that.
So you would know whats on my mind
and if he had something to say,
you could bring a message back.

Its only been a few months now
each day is another day of hell.
I'm trying to be in the Christmas spirit
but Santa, I'm just not doing well.

So if you could stop by Heaven for me,
for just a little while
Id not ask another thing from you
Id be content to just sit and be.

Merry Christmas

so beautiful, i'm right there with you, i know how hard it is.....
the first of every holiday- ack, tho it gets a little easier as time
goes on, i'm betting santa will be sure you see a sign and
discover a reply, maybe in lights, i always watch the stars and
this christmas will be a rare full moon, who knows?

big hugs, love n' woofies, nessa

It's sad, and quite a surprising deviation from the common use of dear, Santa.

I think I could say my little bit of emotional support advice, but I'm not anywhere near one to relate to the situation.

What I can say though if it means anything at all, is pain and sadness will always come with every revelation or serious change in our life, on the negative side of the spectrum of course; And I have to say, that I hope that if you just remember everything that has ever been your favorite things, maybe this will be a sort of realizing that nobody is gone when we have memories, because those memories are what shape us. In that respect, our loved ones are always with us. They are us. :)

I know what you mean by trying to be in the Christmas spirit being difficult.
My dad is not in good health & my mom is still having trouble. If I could ask Santa for a special gift, I would ask for a clean bill of health for them both.
I just keep asking Santa to keep us strong so we can bear the strain of it.
Hopefully, Santa will grant your Christmas wish.
It was beautiful. Great write.
