One Of Those Days

Contributed by waynster on Tuesday, 8th December 2015 @ 02:49:48 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

You ever have one of those days
you have things to do but instead, help a friend
Then they drive you crazy
because the way they act, your nerves are on their end

You go for a ride with them
the trip takes three hours or so
You get a smashing headache
and a body full of stress to go with the flow

Constantly on the lookout
as you don’t know what next move they will make
You just know your life is in their hands
hoping it’s just a dream from which you will soon awake

But no, it’s not a dream
the situation is very real at most
It makes you question yourself
why are you always so very kind to be the host

Then you realize
even though your friend drives you crazy once in a while
You just have to look back at the things they do
then sit back and smile

Not everyone is perfect
but they try to be and do good when they can
Some people are just not the greatest at things they do
that’s why you offer them a helping hand

Even though yesterday I was stressed
today is certainly another day
I would help my friend again
only I am doing the driving is what I’d say

{Inspired by a friend}

Oh so very true.

And this:

I would help my friend again
only I am doing the driving is what I’d say

...gave me a chuckle and a smile.

Thank you.

Tim
