Fraction Of Abstraction

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Wednesday, 25th November 2015 @ 09:54:21 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Deserts of lush green
Muddy waters so clean
Uphill waterfalls
Backward streams
Circles of straight lines
Moments of limitless time
Quarterless dimes
Rhythmless rhymes
History's future
Just a decimal of time
Traceless travels unravel
Landlocked voyages of the sea
Trunks of branches
Deciduous summer of trees
Cloudy days of rays
Sunny days of haze
Difficult corn of maze
Waterless seas of oceans
Homeless streets of land
Overly bright of bland
Tomorrow's yesterday is upon us
Run while walking
If you can

You stumped me! I had to read it a couple times to get it, very tricky James and very clever. Well done!

James! One should read this standing on one's head!
It is wonderfully irrational, humpty-dumpty, see-saw music and if my head could dance, it would be spinning! Everywhere the contradictions splash ice water on our cherished realities:
"histories future" "homeless streets" "tomorrows yesterday" "landlocked voyages of the sea"
What a feast for our senses; what a testimony to your playful intelligence!
More please..

"History's future
Just a decimal of time"

Just an order of magnitude, some right before more right,
or no relevance to right or wrong at all, just a linear road
to nowhere. Maybe it would help to number years with a decimal system?

Trunks of branches/branches of Trunks
Overly bright of bland - Oh, I like that the most...

This is cool. I can relate to run while walking, it's a bit of a skip - I like to call it happiness.

This would be a great billboard. If I had the money, I'd rent a space and put it up and leave it there for several years.

I especially like the title that saps it all together,

Fraction of abstraction. "And now, I'm removing the fraction of abstraction from the frontal lobe of the brain", Ben Carson says softly to the camera, as he conducts the most delicate of surgery's never before then imagined. "And there we go, poof", he says. The camera fades out, and it becomes just a tiny plip a small bubble floating upwards and then... it pops

Peace!

////Oh I love this!!! Definitely quarterless dimes are a fraction of abstraction.

My brain hurts now.

Thanks,

Dugan
