You wrapped your hand
around my heart..
and you squeezed
The first squeeze let me
know you were there,
Let me know that you
loved and cared
Wrapped your hand abit
tighter,
BA-DUM...BA-DUM
Your hold on my soul is
hard and cold
Which in my heart
left an unmistakable fold
Fingers are digging, grabbing
squeezing, dragging
Tighter...
Its my fault
you say,
You didn't even
want it this way
Bleeding out,
red and sticky
As you grip my lifeless heart
tighter...
Until you stop,
and realize its too late

Initially I thought this was about an obsessive possessive love fire starter.
Then I noticed Drug abuse.
I could say it could be a bit of both here.
First person and second person views?
Personalizing drug use and users?
I have not had my coffee yet and my mind is still foggy, trying to figure this is hard perhaps from a non experienced view for drug abuse.
However, from the love fades point of view, it is clear, and I can relate to this.
I like the write and it did make me think. |
