My body's shakin', my hands are takin'...
my soul an' shapin'.. somethin' my maker don't wanna see....
I say God I'm sorry, but please don't worry,
I'll show you tomorrow..I'll be a better me....
Oh no the sun's a' risin', guess I'll start tryin',
can't lie to God...He ain't buyin',
Momma taught me never break that rule....
but I reckon, He knows me better,
why bother tryin, we both know I'm a lyin' fool.

I really enjoyed this a humerous spin, on an internal audit. That kind of honesty takes courage. Excellent write.

Poets always have their writes to look back on and mark their passages. Like keeping a journal, or reminiscing with an old friend, who remembers "when".
Thank you for sharing a trip down your memory lane, and one of the bits and pieces that eventually becomes part of who we are.
