Dining out on a diet
can create quite a riot.
Trying hard not to order
carbs like a hoarder.
Only red, orange and green,
on my plate to be seen.
Hold the potatoes and rice,
just the meat will suffice.
No sugar, salt or sauce
past these lips will I cross.
Skip dessert is the motto
please don't mention Moscato.
As I watch the food fly
to the tables nearby,
I hold tight to my goal
and pray for control.

Sometimes watching your weight is a tough, grim ordeal. You put a humorous spin on it. Thanks for the chuckle.
Great write.

Very unique poem.
Really well rhymed and rather funny unless it's talking about you.
Great write!

This is funny because it's true!
No one likes to diet or exercise. Bah-humbug!
But health takes more and more of our dedication as we age.
I am reminded that I hated wearing braces on my teeth..but the smile at the end was worth it!
Hang in there, and keep writing...although it would be our loss, if all else fails, you could always eat your words!
bad, bad softerware!
