Not Always Nice

Contributed by waynster on Wednesday, 18th November 2015 @ 09:05:25 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

The perfect world
it is something with me you won’t always see
Where I write about rainbows and butterflies
this mind held in contempt, precious thoughts do not flee

Some say damaged goods
others say loss of innocents may be
Whatever be the case
all of these words are certainly from me

Writing about real life
certain moments of a day
Sometimes trying to release thoughts
a kind of torment that just won’t go away

Every person has their moments
many lock themselves up, not wanting to share
Growing old and wretched
with a wrinkled face and an evil snare

A walk in the forest
or visions of dead with no appeal
A mind is a powerful thing
if you allow it, your sanity it will steal

Sometimes it can’t be helped
our mind controls everything we do
Trying to grasp a happy reality
to write it and share with you

So for the lily pads and flower peddles
with streaks of sunlight shining on morning dew
It’s a pretty picture
I’m just not always able to share that picture with all of you

Read my chicken scratch
let it etch the imagination of whatever realm in which you may be
I will try to touch your heart
subliminal courtship from my words for you to see

The handsome revelations of a multi-dimensional man! My favorite line is " Growing old and wretched with a wrinkled face and an evil snare" ..sends chills down my bones!
If this be "chicken scratch" I vote for the henhouse!

This is a sincere, revealing, expression of affection for your fellow man, prefaced by an apology for the bitterness of reality that cannot be camouflaged with "lily pads and flower petals".
Fantasy be gone! Write from the heart (as you have), and bestow upon us the very best of you.
Keep the faith with your readers--we are not as fragile as you fear.
