He must have fled
Responsibility,
Grazing it for a taste,
So abrasive,
Grounding him,
Frightened to the core,
He fled,
Must be lonesome,
No purpose,
Isolation becomes him,
Engulfing his lust,
No cravings,
His anger insatiable,
Clenching his soul,
Clinging,
Shatters him whole.

Welcome back! so glad to see you writing again!
This reminds me of conversations overheard around the water cooler at work. Musings as to why someone did what they did; suspecting how they must have felt. Trying to put ourselves in their shoes.
The last line explodes like fireworks to end the gauze-like musing..."Shatters him whole."
Drop kicks us back to reality!
