Speaking the unspoken

The dawn of each day
brings a new form of hell
born of uncertainty
nothing expels.
Put on the mask
push fear to the side
adrenalin pumping
no where to hide.
Which version of you
will be donned today
benevolent, malevolent
for the latter I pray.
No more years of denying
the unspoken truth
because the problem is yours
I don't deserve the abuse.

"Which version of you will be donned today?" tells your tale so well!
We are all many persons, and must be, to adapt to the ebb and flow of others.
You have reminded me that I need not be the victim, I need not own others problems or suffer their anguishes.
Women especially tend to vacuum up others anguish. But it doesn't yield the peace we hope for. Your last 4 lines are classic and universal.
It is a fitting conclusion to share with your readers.
