What is Love?

Contributed by thomasu01 on Friday, 6th November 2015 @ 01:55:13 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

What is Love

Love endures the test of time
Love transcends stormy weather
Love is forever, and together
Love knows no known measure

Love is when two souls entwine
On a strong tree like a choker wine
Love can hurt and give both pleasure
It, is worth more than worldly treasure.

Love is part of our destiny
Love feels nice and love is free
Love is Good and love is kind
Love remains when one is left behind

Love is there for all to see
Love is there for you and me
Love is shared openly
Love is with us eternally.

Love is sharing. Sharing your thoughts, encouragement, support and love for others.

Please support our other poets. This is a community of poets, not a community of poet.

Thank you.

This has a drinking-song style gait to it. Not sure if anybody else feels that way.

Picture a bunch of priests or monks, or a bunch of nuns singing this as a song and slamming steins of beer around. It'd be enjoyable.

Maybe I'll steel this for my next party. ;)

And I agree with Tim. It's very much good to show love to others, especially when they too share a love for the gift you do.

I like the sing song rhythm of this. Also agree with Tim and our other poets, that they look forward to your comments as much as you look forward to ours. .
It's a shared journey, and as you point out, love is a two way street.
No one is paid here to read your poems. The payment is reading back, and we do expect that.
Thank you,
softerware
