A rainbow shining
Down on earth;
A special child
Marked at birth.
A child of God
That shines so bright
Fills his life
With brilliant light.
A ray of sun;
A flash so brief
Breaks the clouds
And kills the grief.
An angel child
Heads up above;
Lives on earth
Through family's love.

Such a sad sad story about this boy and the heinous disease of cancer destroying him.
You added something lovely to an otherwise sorrowful thing.
Beautifully written with perfect flow.
Thank you,
Tim |

Beautiful poem
I'm going through a similar situation with my dad now. Life can be so trying.
Thank you for this!

Sad, I lost both parents through Cancer in 2010 within 3 months of each other. Statistics state that cancer has increased by over 700% in the last 110 odd years, oddly since industrialization has commenced.
I reason that the ADD ON effect from modern day living is largely responsible for the bulk of cancers we get today.
I hope Evan gets better and survives. |

This is a beautiful and moving tribute! The title drew me in- ironically making me think of my own 7 year old son. I followed this young man/'/s story, and it was so wonderful he got his early Christmas.
What a lovely write, Hannah.
Thank you for sharing with us.
