When Half Is Gone

To tired to sleep
in a bed craving two;
To tired to weep
for wont of sweet you.
To sad to sit, to stand or lean,
Yet my legs stand for us,
seating casual it seems;
with options so few,
but choose though I must
my heart opts for beating
our love's steady trust.
My body can lay, stand on its head,
hang from a tree like a monkey in bed,
flop to the plop of rain's tinny sound;
I care not a whit
until you're back around.
