The Stream Running Through My Head

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Sunday, 25th October 2015 @ 09:56:26 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I envision a stream running through my head
It echoes the words of
Both the living and dead
With the soul calming water
So flows the time
Unlike a horizontal hourglass
It keeps perfect rhythm and rhyme
With it time rushes by
Like an old-time hymn
A soothing lullaby
As my life floats on by
I'm given the wisdom from within
To ready myself
As the stream in my mind has now run dry
The time has come to say
Farewell and goodbye

I trust this to be a metaphor, my friend.
