So this is the rope's end.
No voice no sound even needed
by me, nor heeded even bothered
of energy to voice.
This rope's end
when even choice is
not considered any more than
a flea bite
or wrinkled sheets that crimp sleep
sought to flee thoughts that scream.
A rope is a lonely place to be.

Mournful. Missing the mate that gave the lifestyle permission, perhaps.
So well written that it aches.
"Wrinkled sheets that crimp sleep"..
Ropes end tells us:
We cannot do what we are not ready to do.
