There's a Man in My Forever

Contributed by Sir_Odd87 on Sunday, 18th October 2015 @ 04:19:27 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

There's a man in my forever,
That perfect life you promised me
All those many years ago
Before you decided it shouldn't be.

A broken promise is just a lie
That was true when it was told.
Now you've kept it with another
While on my own, I face the cold.

You were even so brash as to ask me
How he could better fill my shoes.
Whether you win that fight or not
I'm the one who'll lose.

I take some minor comfort
In the idea of a multiverse
That somewhere I'm doing better
Than here, where I'm worse.

If I could turn back the clock
To when you said you would
I'd like to think I'd stop myself
From asking if you could

Maybe then I'd stop the pain
That burns from that one never
That has turned out so very well
For the man in my forever.

Nicely written my good Odd man.

I would surely say and believe it true, that multiverse offers much to appreciate.
Why maybe in another, you've found a more incredible love to date!

Another good thing, a saying we often unknowingly forget, we often know not what we have, until it's gone. In this time one has reflection, and that's a great starting point to self-betterment, and the efforts of a new and exciting adventure of own's one future!

Maybe you could trade one forever, for some much for extraordinary evers. Maybe you could make it happen now.

As to the poem, I will say the first half of the second stanza, is my favorite part. Always love seeing something represented in a new and interesting way. :)

Thanks for sharing.
-Mark
