A soft twinkle and a gentle sigh
Too much inside to opt for reply
The spindle breaks from the weight of the wheel
The shroud is woven from glass and steel
I call out in a whisper
The watchful eye of the black crow
On we go
The horizon grows … and fades …
Radiating fear and staggering breaths of courage
The warriors meditate...
It is time.

Seems intense, the feeling of radiating fear, or anxiety, it feels hot, strangely so. Like your blood rushing to the surface as it boils from friction of vibrating muscles.
I especially like the lines of the spindle and shroud. The spindle seems rough, harsh, at the last straw and such feelings, while the shroud makes me think of wearing military vehicles as uniform, which is really cool.
Nice job. :) |
