When we're children,
Time is a burdensome constraint;
In our teens we wish to hold it,
A hero with a brush of mysterious paint
In our adulthood?
This is something... peculiar; strange
What we always have, and yet want ever more
A commodity and currency we cannot seem to claim
Whilst space is a language,
One we wish to learn and thus seek;
But its tongue is as primitive as it is complex,
Making it one we cannot seem to speak

brilliant write! You touch on life and different stages that I could really relate to and the last stanza is much more deep to me in a cosmic way. Love this! |
