Salt in my wounds

Hearts adrift
and lost at sea
pour salt in my wounds
and let me be
Never again will I be
this far gone
Where my stitches are open
i'm coming undone
Every step I make
the salt moves closer
My heart and mind
fell for the poser
Can't believe I lost so deeply,
lost every part of me
for someone who poured salt
constantly

"Hearts adrift and lost at sea" No better way to define the vast emptiness that surrounds us when we have lost love.
When sarcasm replaces melancholy, we are beginning to heal.
