if you knew the truth

If you knew the truth
would you leave me here
to die...
would you ever
look me in the eye?
If you knew the truth
would you look at me
and sigh...
would you let
the days go by?
If you knew the truth
would you come to me
or think it was a lie...
would you tell me to
jump off a cliff and fly?
If you knew the truth
would you believe me
and let it slide...
or, tell me to go
run and hide?
~Please believe me~

I liked your poem. Brings back my memories from not wanting to share everything with someone because of fear, or non acceptance.
Your words hit perfectly
Great Write |

I think there are a lot of people that can relate to your writing here. I too agree that it reminds me of wanting to hold back in fear of losing something. Something I think we are all guilty of. In my personal experience it set me free to just be truthful no matter what the consequences were
Very excellent right |
