To people around me
all they see is a smile
What i've learned is,
scars stay for awhile
They stay months after
even when you're dead
When you're smiling,
or in bed
The smile is fake
plain as day
I paste it on
cuz' I dont care what they say
Its crooked
never fully reaching the eyes
So that when I leave
People will know I meant goodbye
Saying goodbye
is the hardest it seems
With eyes half dazed
and a smile that bleeds
As I realized
smiles are to hard to fake
Maybe one day
people will see the risks I've taked

i believe this is a survival instinct, i do it too because i'd rather
not be bothered explaining sometimes, beautifully expressed,
hugs n' love nessa |
