My rage at times, I feel I could smash oaken planks two inches thick;
the way of people,
of actions I consider sick
to take-
but not for reason or without,
people scream silently
though they don't know it;
they die inside,
little by little
and only their eyes show it.

The contentment of ignorance. The bliss of such a thing, and the unfortunate prison that it also is.
When you say not for reason or without, that makes me think naturally so, or rather they aren't aware of it, but they subconsciously have reasoning.
Either way, I like the shortness, yet the emotion. It's unique and relatable, as the emotion and the situation both feel palpable in their own regards. |
