You saw me through my eyes
you’re the closest friend to me
You feel my every pain
and see everything I see
You keep me close at bay
to reach out when I am in need
You are the best friend I’ve ever had
you cater to my wounds when I bleed
You have your own troubles
but have such a mighty heart inside
You are a true friend
as you always welcome me with arms open wide
I am often reluctant
to have a true friend like you
You never look for a return
in anything you do
Always paying it forward
to help someone else in need
Often covering up your own wounds
so nobody can see you bleed
Just know I love you
and thank you for all you do
I am honored you care so much
please allow me to wrap your wounds for you
A friendship is two sided
and I am also here for you too
A true friendship is precious
just like this one with me and you
